Youth Racing

Limerick CC has a very strong and active youth racing team. The season has started very successfully for the Limerick U14 team with a super result at their first race at the Waller cup in Bohermeen. The three Limerick riders cominmg in 1st, 2nd and 4th. Henry Cook taking his first ever victory followed home by Shane O’Hara in 2nd and Steven Shanahan in 4th.

Limerick Classic Tour 2010

Date & Time: Sunday May 23. Starts at 9am sharp.
Venue: Millennium Centre, Caherconlish, Co Limerick
Two options: 180KM & 80KM

Summer Cycle Racing League in Shannon

There is a Cycling League Stating Wed Next 28th April at 7 sharp near Shannon, Co Clare.

To accommodate the race, Limerick CC will move the wednesday evening spin to Tuesday evenings, departing the Parkway at 6pm
Le Tour Du Mont Blanc

This is a new challenge for cyclists in search of high passes. To complete this trial, you will have to ride 330 km, cross 7 passes with summits from 1 400 to 2 469 meters and 8 000 unlevel meters. Le Tour Du Mont Blanc® Cyclo, in one stage, allow cyclists to ride the Mythical Géant des Alpes and the most reputed European summits, by crossing 3 different countries (France, Suisse, Italie), and 3 major regions of the Mont Blanc mountains (Savoie, Valais, Val d’Aoste).

Wednesday evening races in Fedamore cancelled

Due to safety concerns the Limerick CC Committee has decided NOT to run the Wednesday evening races in Fedamore this season.
We will be running training spins every Wednesday evening from the Parkway at 6pm. They will start on Wednesday April 28th.

Gorey 3 Day Race Report

While some LCC members were racing Ras Mumhan last weekend Stephen Clancy competed in the Gorey 3 day. The first stage saw Stephen puncture and crash and have to work extremely hard to get back on. The rest of the race was better for Stephen finishing 27th out of 150 in the time trial, collecting points and a 2nd place in the KOH on the second stage leaving Stephen 3rd overall in KOH and finishing a very creditable 6th on the final stage.
